Improvement Team Reports
Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Improvement Team
We are excited to share the latest updates and initiatives from our dedicated Curriculum, Assessment, and Reporting Improvement Team. Our mission is to continuously enhance the educational experience of our students, and we have been diligently working on various projects to achieve this goal. Here's a roundup of our recent endeavours:
Semester 1 Reports are now available on Compass
We are delighted to announce that the Semester 1 reports are now accessible to all students, parents, and guardians via Compass, our comprehensive reporting platform. This user-friendly system allows for easy access to progress reports, semester reports, and other important information. If you need assistance accessing your child’s Compass account, please contact the College for assistance.
Changes to the reporting processes for Semester 2
To further streamline the reporting process, we have planned the following schedule for Semester 2:
- Progress reports will be completed during Week 7 of Term 3 and Week 4 of Term 4.
- Parent-Teacher interviews have been scheduled for Thursday, 14th of September
- Semester reports will be finalised in Week 10 of Term 4.
Emphasizing reflective practices
During Semester 1, we initiated a trial in Year 8 where students were asked to provide a personal reflection on their utilisation of the 5P learning behaviours within their Making Connections Semester report. In the upcoming weeks, we will be seeking feedback from both parents and students to assess the effectiveness and meaningfulness of this new reporting format. Based on the received feedback, we will then consider expanding this initiative to Year 7 and 9 during Semester 2.
New Curriculum additions in 2024
As we prepare for Term 3 student subject selections, we are thrilled to introduce new additions to our curriculum in 2024. These include VCE Sociology, Cert 2 in Health Services, Cert 2 in Visual Art, and Cert 2 in Music Performance. We believe these additions will help to provide our students with diverse curriculum opportunities to further explore their interests and talents.
