Festival of the Sacred

As part of the Performing Arts Program at St Augustine's, Years 5 and 6 students participate in a program in collaboration with Catholic Education Sandhurst and The Australian School of Performing Arts (ASPA) called Festival of the Sacred. The art forms of music, drama and dance are enhanced in this program, with professionals from ASPA providing workshops to students through regular school visits to develop the selected performances of the cohort. This culminates in a performance day with schools from the diocese/deanery combining to showcase their individual performances and massed items at The Festival of the Sacred performance day. 

The Years 5 and 6 cohort attended this day on Wednesday 14th June at the Kyabram Sports and Entertainment Complex. Students participated in workshops, rehearsals, and a final performance at an afternoon concert, which families were invited to attend. We were fortunate to have two of our secondary students attend the concert and perform for the primary students. Well done to Sarah M and Izayiah R for performing so beautifully on the day. Thank you to Mrs Moor, Mrs Moore, and the Years 5/6 team for supporting the development of this project.

College Instrumental Program

Enrolments are currently being taken for the College Instrumental Music Program.

Gabe Chowanetz has recently joined our Music Tutor staff. He is tutoring electric, acoustic and bass guitar. Sarah Wheelhouse continues to tutor our talented singers.
