Recognition of Teaching Excellence at Epping Secondary College
Epping Secondary College would like to share and celebrate the achievements of teacher Sean Loffman in making it to the final round of the early career teaching category in the highly competitive 2023 Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards.
He was nominated anonymously nominated by a family to receive the “Early Career Teaching Scholarship” and after going through a rigorous selection process, made it to through to the final round, and was recognised as a “Highly Commended Finalist” by the awards committee.
Only in his third year of teaching, Sean is already a highly respected Science and Maths teacher and coordinator of the ACE Program (to extend high achieving students) at ESC. He is respected for his commitment to teaching by students and staff alike and in 2022 he was the inaugural recipient of the Spirit of Epping award, which is voted by students, and recognises the outstanding work of a teacher at ESC.
His working in support students at all year levels and commitment to VCE Chemistry has made a significant difference to the learning outcomes of many students.
We honour student voice at ESC and below are just some of the positive things students have said about Sean Loffman.
