All Schools Cross Country

Congratulationsto all of our athletes who competed on Friday the 21st of July in the All Schools Cross Country at Eastern Creek, Sydney.

 

A special mention to our individual medalists:

* Lachlan C. 17 Years Boys CHS 1st place

* Jesse J. 17 to 19 Multi-Class CHS 3rd place

* Bella G. 12 to 14 Multi-Class 1st place

* Chloe D. 12 to 14 Multi-Class 3rd place

* Kayden E. 16 Years Boys CHS 1st place

 

The dedication and hard work of our talented athletes has once again brought pride and success to our school. In particular, we want to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Kayden, who emerged as a true champion in the 16s Boys cross country 6000m event.

 

Kayden's determination and perseverance paid off in spectacular fashion. He secured a remarkable GOLD MEDAL 🥇, not only triumphing over all other competitors from Government Schools but also clinching a commendable 6th position overall in the entire event. His remarkable performance is a testament to the effort he has put into training and his unyielding spirit.

 

Open Boys Rugby - Country Cup

Congratulations to the GIHS Open Boys Rugby League team who emerged as worthy runners-up in the NSW Country Cup on Thursday the 20th of July. Their exceptional performance has brought immense pride to our school, and we couldn't be happier to celebrate their achievements.

 

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr Miller, Miss Malby, and Ameliah for accompanying the boys on their journey. A special mention goes to Mr. Taylor,  for his organisation and logistics on the day. 

 

Thank you to all the families who made the journey to support and cheer on this wonderful group of young men. It’s safe to say that everybody who watched was very impressed with this team as they took on the best teams in the state and were still undefeated!

 

Open Girls Touch State Playoff

GIHS Open Girls Touch Team v Tomaree High School in the top 16 playoffs was held Tuesday the 18th of July. The GIHS team played well with the final score being 11-3. Congratulations to the visiting school and to all the girls who played on Tuesday and gave their best effort.
