THE UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE - DIPLOMA IN GENERAL STUDIES

Whether your students finished high school and are unsure of their next steps, or are already in the workforce and want to advance their career with additional qualifications, the 1-year Diploma in General Studies (DiGS) is a great pathway option.DiGS students build the skills to achieve at university while living in a close-knit and supportive community at our Dookie campus near Shepparton. The diploma allows students to: 

  • Explore your study options before committing to a bachelors degree
  • Gain guaranteed entry into a University of Melbourne bachelors degree
  • Study prerequisite subjects missed in high school, including science, mathematics, business and environments
  • Earn credit towards an undergraduate degree
  • Access a range of scholarships to help you fund living expenses.

We also offer the Diploma in General Studies (Extended), an 18 month supported program for Indigenous students.Reach out to your University representative to learn more about this qualification and how it can support your students' path into a Melbourne undergraduate degree.
