Choirs promote teamwork as students must work together to create a cohesive and harmonious sound. They learn to listen to one another, blend their voices, and support each other to achieve a collective goal.
Joining a choir requires commitment and regular practice. Through consistent rehearsals and performances, students develop discipline, time management skills, and the ability to persevere and improve.
Singing in front of an audience can be intimidating, but being part of a choir encourages students to overcome stage fright and build self-confidence. It provides a platform for self-expression through music and performance.
Studies have shown that students involved in music programs, including choirs, tend to perform better academically. Music education can enhance cognitive abilities, memory, and problem-solving skills.
Thank you Ms Rumble for making our students develop their life-time passion for music and promoting the Arts within our learning community.
Thank you to our students for embracing the opportunites provided here at St Peter's.
We invite all toddlers to our Play Group which is every Wednesday in our cosy library.
Come and join the fun, connect with friends and the wider St Peter's Community.
Looking forward to seeing you all there next week.
Encouraging empathy and active listening in students is a valuable aspect of their social and emotional development. Here are some strategies that you as parents or carers can use at home to promote these qualities:
2. Engage in conversations that involve sharing feelings and emotions. Ask your children how they feel about certain situations and validate their emotions. Create an open and safe space for them to express themselves.
3. Help children see things from different perspectives. When conflicts arise, discuss how the other person might feel and why they might have acted a certain way.
This week we had an evacuation drill to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and visitors in the event of an emergency or crisis situation.
It's important for us to practice the safe evacuation of all staff, visitors and students to ensure, in the case of emergency, all parties know what to do and to remain calm. Regular training and communication of the procedures plays a crucial role in ensuring that everyone at St Peter's is well-prepared to respond appropriately during an emergency.
Blessings to you and your families !
