Our values are things that are most important to us in life. For example, I value honesty, so telling the truth is something that is important to me.
Today’s Gospel, Jesus tells us a parable, or story, about the Kingdom of God. He tells us what is truly important.
Jesus teaches us that we are called to make the Kingdom of Heaven the most important thing in our lives. We are to set aside or give up unimportant things so that we can accept God’s gift of the Kingdom of Heaven.
On behalf of the staff, I wanted to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your presence at our recent Grade 3-4 Faith Night event.
Your support and attendance meant a great deal to all of us. Your willingness to come together and participate in this special gathering allowed us to create a meaningful and memorable experience for everyone involved. The shared moments of prayer, reflection, and fellowship brought us closer as a community, and we are incredibly grateful for your contributions to this spiritual journey. Welcoming family of other faiths, or indeed, families with no particular faith is not motivated by the desire to fill in empty seats or tick boxes but is a way of being. A way of living out what it means to be Catholic. Welcoming others is embedded in our Catholic identity.
We believe that events like Faith Night play a crucial role in fostering unity, understanding, and a deeper connection with our faith. Your active involvement and engagement demonstrated your commitment to these values, and it motivates us to continue organizing such gatherings in the future.
We sincerely hope that you enjoyed the evening as much as we did. Your insights are valuable and help us improve our future programs.
Once again, thank you for joining us at Faith Night and for being an integral part of our faith community. May the blessings of faith and love be abundant in your lives.
Dear Parents/ Carers,
On Sunday, 13th August, the students from Foundation to Grade 2 ( L / W) are rostered to participate at the 9.00am Parish Mass. It is followed by hosting a morning tea until 11.00am. This is a wonderful initiative to build partnerships between the families and students of St Peter’s Primary School with the parishioners of St Peter’s Parish Church. This is also a school expectation which is a part of our curriculum and brings us together as a Parish and School Community. It is an expectation that parents are with their children during the Mass and the morning tea.
The students will be involved in a variety of jobs prior to Mass and after Mass so it is important that they are present by 8:50 am. Families are invited to bring a plate of morning tea to share with parishioners. Please bring the shared morning tea on a disposable plate or in a clearly named container to the parish hall before 9.00am. We ask no food containing nuts be brought.
Thank you to Mrs Ancilla D'Souza and Ms Shanika Perera for volunteering to coordinate the Morning Tea for us.
Please contact Mrs Ancilla D'Souza and Ms Shanika Perera to discuss what you will be providing for morning tea. We are looking forward to seeing all students and their families together.
