School times

It is really important that students arrive at school on time each day (see graphic below to see the accumulative loss of time if consistently late).

The bell rings at 8.50 in the morning. The first few minutes of the day are spent coming together as a group- taking the roll, class prayer and setting the day up to be productive. It is helpful if students arrive a few minutes before the bell so they can unpack their bags, catch up with friends and prepare themselves for the day.

There is supervision on the playground from 8:30am. Students are asked to hang their bag up and then go outside for a play and catch up with friends before school.

Although we think it is wonderful that the children can't wait to get to school to begin their learning, it is inappropriate for them to arrive prior to 8.30am!

With the new Enterprise Agreement teachers are not available before school. Only the teachers allocated to supervise outside are on duty at this time.

If you do need to drop your child off early, please book them in to Camp Australia.

SCHOOL FINISHES EACH DAY AT 3.25pm.

Unless your child has an appointment, children should not be leaving school early. Children who leave early disrupt the class and the learning of ALL children in that class.

Camp Australia is open before and after school to care for children who need to be dropped off earlier than 8.30am or cannot be picked up at the end of the school day. Government rebates are available to families who qualify to help with fees. Please contact Camp Australia on 1300 105 343 or on their website www.campaustralia.com.au to register your child, or to make enquiries.
