Project Compassion Boxes

On the 26th February your child/ children will be bringing home a project compassion box.

Project Compassion is Caritas Australia's annual Lenten fundraising and awareness-raising appeal. Millions of Australians come together in solidarity with the world's poor to help end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity.

Project Compassion inspires so many communities to come together to raise much needed funds for the most vulnerable women, children and men in Australia and around the world.

We ask that  these boxes are returned by Wednesday 8th April.

Altar Servers

If your child has made their First Eucharist and wishes to be on the weekend altar server roster please let me know and I will place them on the roster. A note  went home last week.

St Patrick's Day

Saint Patrick's Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick, is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17th March, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland.

On the 17th March we will be celebrating St Patrick's Day. We ask that the children come to school dressed in Green.  The children are also asked to bring in a $2 coin with all proceeds going to Caritas Australia.

Real Talk

WHO IS 'REAL TALK?' We provide seminars, reflection days and up-to-date resources to young people on topics relating to identity, technology, relationships, love, sex and marriage. We speak to over 30,000 students each year and will visit each school in the Armidale diocese in 2020.

They will be running a parent session on the 31st March at 6:30pm. All Parents across K-6 are welcome.

Shrove Tuesday

Shrove Tuesday is the day in February or March immediately preceding Ash Wednesday, which is celebrated in some countries by consuming pancakes.

This year all children will receive a pancake  with their morning tea to celebrate this day.

Catholic Principles and Values

What is Catholic Principles and Values "A Framework for life"

Catholic Principles  and Values underpin all we do in Catholic schools. These principles and values are explicitly taught in every subject. They have been chosen so that students in every year level will have a framework to help guide them in life once they leave school.

Throughout this year  we will be explaining each of the four Catholic Principles and Values to give you a better understanding of what they are.

The Relic of St Therese of Lisieux and Her Parents

The Relic of St Therese of Lisieux and Her Parents will be coming to St Patrick's on Sunday 23rd February arriving 8:30am and departing 4:30pm. This is a very special opportunity to revere and pray with  the "Llittle Flower".
