Matilda W came 2nd in her Discus event yesterday and we wish her all the best when she competes at state level.
"Yesterday was no ordinary day, it was also very nerve racking. Yesterday I was filled with mixed emotions that was out out this world. I knew there might be girls at the Regional Athletics that could throw a Discus 27 metres. But I knew to get there they would have had to do everything I had to do. Another great thing about yesterday was that I threw the discus around 20m and came Second Place. Now I get to go to the next level. Another highlight of the day was watching my friend Lucy compete in hurdles and give it her all, while I'm more of a field person than track person. I’m very proud for how far I have gotten from school trials to now States. It’s just amazing how much I have improved." Matilda W
