Before the Curtains Open…

It’s only a matter of days before the curtains open for our School Production of The Little Mermaid Jr! The students are buzzing with the excitement of costumes for our dress rehearsals and the sense of extraordinary teamwork from all areas across the school!

I wanted to take this moment to kindly ask all families for their support in the lead up to our show. While some of the children’s emotions might be easy to pick up others may not show as clearly. Please continue to check in on your children. For some students, this may be their first time to perform on a big stage and to a live audience, some may find this experience a big leap out of their comfort zone while others, especially our Year Five and Six Main Cast who have worked hard in giving it their all these past few months, might be experiencing a mixed bag of emotions and may just need a comforting hand to hold.

Let’s all continue to celebrate the hard work and success each and every student have already demonstrated, and on the night as you sit in the audience looking for your child on stage, please don’t forget to SMILE! Because I know the children will certainly be looking out for your face in that crowd and ALL your smiles together will lift up their confidence and light them up brighter than any stage light could!

Join me in reminding them to pause in these moments; to absorb all the excitement and positive energy flowing all around them and to truly enjoy this experience!

We can’t wait to see you all there!!
