Arlo's Farewell

Thank you to the St. Mary’s Community for welcoming Arlo to our school. He has had an eventful year from when he first came to meet the children in December 2021 and attended the staff Christmas party.

He has spent two days a week at school for most of the year and been cared for so well by the children and accepted even by those who had a fear of dogs. Arlo got to visit most classrooms but was mainly adored out on the playground. He has helped children to settle into lessons and brought calm to others experiencing anxiety.

Arlo turned one last week and he has successfully completed his training in Melbourne. He leaves us on November 1st to return to Perth to continue his training with his participant, who is a retired veteran. We wish Arlo all the best for his future and hope he is successful as an assistance dog.

If anyone is interested in fostering a dog for 12 or more months, a litter of 30 black labradors are ready to go! Please contact me or Dogs For Life directly if you are interested.

Thanks again.

Kind regards,

Mrs Toni Nichols
