Mental Health Week
YEAR 2
This is a photo of my class 2D who did colouring sheets for World Mental Health Day. The colouring sheets were about Bible verses that relate to mental health and wellbeing such as Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” Prior to doing the activity, the students engaged in a discussion about what Mental Health is, and what strategies they could use when they are feeling anxious, angry or sad.
YEAR 3S
Year 3S class has acknowledged and celebrated the World Mental Health Week 2022 through various activities. Students have discussed the importance of mental health and well-being in different aspects of life such as social awareness, safety, food and nutrition and relationships. We also learnt about using number skills in problem solving situations in Numeracy. In Geography, we have used Google Earth, Atlas and Globe to explore Australia's Neighbours.
Year 3L
As part of Mental Health Week Year 3L spent some time in the first portion of the day sitting in a circle. With the use of prompts as an aid, students were encouraged to speak candidly about instances in their life where they were shy, worried, sad, mad, frustrated, happy and or excited. Each student was applauded for sharing and the atmosphere was very positive. All enjoyed the experience and wanted to continue.
