Class of 2002 - 20 year reunion!
Our college welcomed back a few students from the class of 2002 for a 20-year school reunion tour on Saturday 8th October! They wandered the familiar halls of the science, food and middle school areas reminiscing about their time and teachers at the college! Marvelled at the changes that had occurred over the years. After their tour they headed off to a local winery to meet and chat with more of their former classmates!
VCE VET Music Performance - Music Industry Performance Exam
The VCE VET Music Performance students, Ms Winterhalter and Mr Robinson travelled to Chairo Christian School, Pakenham campus, to sit their Music Industry Performance Exam on Monday 10th October. The students left Mary MacKillop College at 7am Monday morning, with the first exam being held at 10am. The students were required to set take all the musical equipment needed to set up for their industry-specified gig. They had 30mins to set up, sound check, warm up and gather themselves. Each exam took 1hour.
The students have had a very busy lead-up to the exam, with extra rehearsals being held over two days during the school holidays, some nights after school and all day Sunday last weekend.
We would like to congratulate Ashley Geary, Grace Lawrie and Patrick Johnston, on the extra time and effort they have given this subject, their dedication to perfecting the performance and the professional manner in which they conducted themselves on the day of the exam.
Well done guys, we hope your results reflect the extra effort and massive improvement you have made over the past month. I wish you all the best with your results. Congratulations!
Year 9 Camp
Our Year 9 students headed to the city for their Melbourne camp between 5-7 October. They explored the city including visits to Melbourne Zoo, Eureka Sky deck, the shrine, MacKillop Heritage centre and participated in rock climbing!
