On Friday we have our Revolutions students completing their exam.  Our Unit 3 & 4 exams continue for the next 2 weeks.  We continue to wish these students good luck with their preparations.

Year 11 exams start this Friday 4th November with the English exam being the first one that all our students will complete at 9am.  If any students have any clashes with unit 3 & 4 exams or other year 11 exams, please feel free to reach out to Kate Smith via email or in person.

Step Up:

We are really excited to have our yr11 students start their step up on the 14th of November.  This is a really important time for your yr11 students as they start their journey into their final year of school.   All students will be given their subjects on Friday 4th November and their step up timetables on the 14th.  If, in the meantime, any students wish to change their subject, they can do so by filling in a change of subject form.  These can be picked up from the Senior School office and need to back to the senior sub school no later than Wednesday 9th November.

Please stay tuned to your email as more information about Exams and Step Up continue to come through.

Year 10 Marketplace

On Monday, October 17th, Gisborne Secondary College hosted its first Year 10 marketplace since 2019. The day saw a host of student-led stalls get set up within the B-Block and Library courtyard, selling food and drink items, as well as running a range of exciting games and activities, including laser-tag, a haunted house, a pie throwing contest, as well music requests, and more.

The students put together a phenomenal marketplace on the day, one that took in over $7,500 for charity, which will soon be passed on to the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Congratulations to all students in Year 10 for their incredible work building the stalls, for the amazing environment that they created, and for the phenomenal takings on the day. Finally, one massive thank you to all parents/guardians and other students who supported the marketplace, buy items, engaging, or supporting students to make their stall dreams a reality.
