GSC Lunar Eclipse Evening 

For Gisborne Secondary College’s 2nd astronomy night for 2022 we are holding an eclipse evening. 

When: Tues 8th Nov (starts at 8:30 pm to late….) 

Location: Adjacent to oval near I-block (meet and register in I-block first)

The visible eclipse starts at 9:16 pm with the moon being fully eclipsed by about 9:59 pm

• Three telescopes in operation for the night
• One to view the eclipse through a research/computerised telescope
• One to take images using a digital camera or a chance to use your mobile phone to capture this event
• One teacher supplied telescope for general viewing
• Hot drinks available throughout the evening
• All family members welcome
