School for Student Leadership

Kristen Raine and Leanne Kirkland had the pleasure of visiting our Year 9 School for Student Leadership team on Friday 9th September for the Community Learning Project presentation day. Our School for Student Leadership team, consisting of Ruby Anderson, Julia Reti, Sam Dekkers and Jamieson Barton have spent the last 8 weeks at the Don Valley campus in the Yarra Ranges. When we visited, Ruby, Julia, Sam and Jamieson took us on a tour of the campus which was built in 2020. They also shared with us their experiences, particularly the expo hikes, bike trips, re-charge days and mealtimes they have enjoyed. They have all formed strong friendships with students from across Victoria and have experienced strong personal growth. Ruby, Julia, Sam and Jamieson presented their Community Learning Project (CLP) with confidence to their peers, teachers and members of the community and they should be very proud of everything they have achieved while at the School for Student Leadership. We look forward to working with them next term as they undertake their CLP, which will help them to build strong connections with our community.
