MSC was very lucky to have had Sharon Ray from Wellington Shire come out to do veggie garden planting in the beds in front of the middle years building.
We had a combined total of 150 native plants donated from Hillywood Tree Nursery, Gippy Garden Plants, WildTech Nursery, Woolenook Native Nursery, Grow Master Sale. Bunnings also donated plants, compost, mulch and came out to MSC to help with planting.
In session 5, 8E and some year 7 students part take in either veggie gardening and/or native planting sessions around the school yard. It was a lovely day and great seeing the students out enjoying the weather and the garden. What a great way to practise mindfulness and get in some physical activity before the end of term!
Very special thanks to Sharon and Kate, from Bunnings who came out and supported the day. Another special thank you to all the nurseries who came together to donate to our students. Thanks to Lashay Tricker and Sarah Schellen for supporting me with this project!
