Welcome Back to Term 4!

As always, the Term has commenced to a hive of activity. The HSC commenced  on the 12th of October and our students have approached their exams maturely and with confidence. The support shown by their teachers and Pastoral leader has been appreciated with students now counting down to the end of their examinations and the evening celebration of their Graduation on the 11th of November.

A number of students from Year 12 have already secured university early entry offers and we congratulate them on this success. Notably Aryellah Dal Broi and Lexi Salvestro  have secured a $20000 scholarship to undertake a degree in Education sponsored by CEDWW, only five scholarships were offered across the diocese and a rigour process had to be undertaken. Their success is a credit to their hardwork and dedication, skills that will hold them in good stead as future educators.

All Major works have been submitted and the Drama and Music performances are now complete. As always the standard was incredibly high with positive feedback from the markers.

Two music students have been nominated for Encore for Music:

  • Poloma Lale
  • Claudia Torresan

And two students have been nominated for Shape for their Design and Technology Major works:

  • Allira Aventi
  • Lexi Salvestro

This is a phenomenal achievement and we congratulate these students as well as their families and teachers for their support, encouragement and expertise.

At the Year 12 final assembly our 2023 College Captains were announced. We are fortunate to have four deserving students take on the roles commencing this term:

Captains  - Elizabeth Romeo and Lachlan Chant

Vice Captains - Jess Moraschi and Charlie O’Sullivan

Prefect and House Captain nominations are also complete and will be finalised this week ready for presentation of badges at our end of Year Award Ceremony which takes place on 12th of December.

Once again, Marian Catholic College has entered a sculpture in the REAL JUICE COMPANY CITRUS SCULPTURES. This is the first time the sculptures have been in place since 2019. Thank you to the staff and students that assisted with the construction of our sculpture, we encourage you to go and visit the fantastic display in Banna Avenue and support the Spring Festival, which is a wonderful celebration of our local community.

Yours in Learning
