By making and working with play dough, the Prep students have been learning about capacity, as well as understanding how to follow a procedure to make the perfect dough.

Breaking News! Prep KM presented a news piece about a place that was special to them. 😊 We loved hearing about why these places mean so much to our students.

🤗The Grade 1/2's  have been having so much fun this week playing "Gary the Grasshopper" in their maths sessions. Using number lines and hundreds charts to help Gary get to his target , their 'jump and split' strategies had the grasshopper jumping back and forth.🌸😀

😀At OLA we recognise the valuable ways that knowledge and understanding in STEM subjects enables our students to access important ideas and skills that will be relevant for daily life.  Working with various STEM resources like Kinex, Kickbricks and Makey Makey circuits, students get to practise their problem solving, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. 💙
