Assistant Principal - Pastoral Care

Dear Parents and Carers,

On enrolment at the College, all families sign an agreement to follow the College's policies, procedures and expected standards. It is appreciated that most families are fully supportive and do a wonderful job in this respect.  As in all communities though, there are some who choose to ignore or disregard some elements of this agreement.

To support all students commencing 2022 in a positive manner, families are reminded of the following common areas where discrepancies do occur so that they can make any necessary arrangements over the holidays:

  • All hair colouring needs to be a natural colour
  • Discrete nose piercings that are a stud only may be worn
  • Leather school shoes must be worn - not the skate style which does not meet WHS guidelines for practical learning spaces
  • Only school hats can be worn whilst a student is wearing the College uniform - this includes travelling to and from school and whilst at school

A student arriving at school unwilling or unable to meet any of these requirements will not be able to commence classes until the issue is resolved.

Furthermore, to facilitate families knowing exactly which day students are expected to wear the College uniform and which days sport, we will have set days for the whole College for Years 7 to 10:

  • Monday and Friday - students wear their College uniform
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - students may wear their sports uniform
  • Seniors are required to wear the College uniform at all times

Students and families will have the holiday period to decide if they are comfortable with their enrolment agreement or not. Our approach to these issues has been clearly outlined in the following newsletter articles which are linked below for your further consideration.
