Grade 3/4 Students

Celebrating our tremendous Threes and fabulous Fours !

3/4A - Mrs Bryant

In 3/4A, we’ve been continuing to settle into our new classroom and learn together! Earlier this week, we enjoyed making a Valentine’s Day craft, either for a family member or listing things we love.

3/4B - Miss Brook

Mackenzie and Millie – Place Value Shoot Out

We practiced transforming numbers from digits into words. The students shot their coloured counters into the cups, counted the place value and then wrote their number in three different ways.

3/4C - Mr Lewis

As part of our ‘getting to know you’ program, the students have created colourful posters that indicate meaningful numbers in their lives. These are examples of Nova and Scarlett's important numbers.

3/4D - Mr Mitch

This week in 3/4D, we implemented the Five Stages of Writing to construct a holiday recount. We paid close attention to the revising and editing stages.

Furthermore, we used the Zones of Regulation to explore the students likes and dislikes. This program teaches students about self-regulation through a cognitive behavioural approach and is used throughout the school. We look forward to further exploring this program with the students over the coming weeks.

3/4E - Miss Margarita

3/4E read the book "The Best Part of Me" by Wendy Ewald. They then did a think-pair-share and discussed the best part of them. They were encouraged to think deeply and use their senses when writing. The results were impressive!
