Grade 5/6 Students

Celebrating our fantastic Fives and sensational Sixes!

5/6A - Mrs Mac

In 5/6A we have been refreshing our knowledge of the 5 Stages of Writing. We understand how important it is to work through these stages in order to produce our best possible piece of writing!

5/6B - Mr Sankovic

In 5/6B this week, we wrote a class acknowledgement of country. The students wrote one each and we compiled them to form a class agreed acknowledgement. We completed assessments to help us plan our learning and set goals, and we also recommended some books to classmates. Students who applied for SRC gave a speech and April was voted in as our class rep, well done, April! A massive focus has been placed on wellbeing and the puzzle has been a popular option for those who need a brain break or to ‘take 5’. The students were super excited to get brand new furniture as well!

5/6 - Mrs George/Miss Lee

During our 5/6C Maths sessions we have been playing various games to develop our knowledge of place value with numbers up to millions. Here we can see students creating the largest possible even number using a set of given digits.

In 5/6C we shared a book called 'All the Ways to be Smart' written by Davina Bell. This book has helped us to develop a positive and growth mindset, by remembering that we can be smart in many different ways, not just in Maths, Reading and Writing.

5/6D - Mr Jared
