St Anthony’s Parents and Friends' Association

(PFA)

For those new to the school, St Anthony’s has a Parents and Friends' Association (PFA) that provides support to the school so that the best environment and educational opportunities are available to the students. The committee consists of the school principal and volunteer parents from within the school elected at the annual general meeting held at the end of the previous year.

The objectives of the PFA are:

1. To assist the welcoming of new families and to encourage social interaction between all members of the school community.
2. To foster and develop the interest, participation and contribution by the Parents and Friends to the wellbeing of the school and parish of St Anthony’s.
3. To provide social activities for all families.
4. To assist with activities for the advancement of the school.
5. To raise funds to provide and enhance facilities and resources that will benefit the students in consideration of the school master plan.
6. To be a representative for the PFA on the School Advisory Council.

We look forward to fulfilling these objectives this year in particular after the limitations of the previous 2 years.

Our first meeting on the 8th February was attended by 22 people from 17 families including several first time attendees from Preps and Year 1.  It was wonderful to see such interest from everyone. Parents are always welcome to attend or reach out to the committee with ideas, suggestions and feedback.

The PFA is looking for Class Liaisons (2 per class)

• Act as a class contact for the  the PFA
• Help spread the word for upcoming events
• Attend some PFA meetings (if you can)
• Get to meet more people 

If you’d like to be a liaison for your child’s class email pfa@santglen.catholic.edu.au by Friday 25 February.

Next meeting Tuesday 5th April. Looking forward to another big turn out, hopefully in person!
