Weekend Stock Roster

Weekend Stock Roster

One of the things that makes our College different from other schools and which is something we feel strongly about is in developing work ethic and job readiness in  our students. We have a number of strategies to achieve this including high standards of punctuality, uniform and appearance, longer work days and an industry focused farm and trades workplace.

The Weekend Stock Roster is another strategy we use to develop work ethic by teaching the understanding  that sometimes our private lives need to take a back step for our work commitments.  Every Year 10 and 11 student is expected to meet their weekend stock obligation which equates to only about once per year and we appreciate our parents supporting us in this important learning exercise.

In addition to developing work ethic, weekend stock is also aligned to units of competence in the Certificate II in Agriculture qualification.

Below is the 2022 Weekend Stock Roster. Names have been added randomly and there is the opportunity to undertake swaps if your child’s rostered weekend clashes with an important family activity.

If students require a swap they can see me and I will give them a form that should be completed indicating who they are swapping with and when. After the first swap, I regard this as a final adjustment and plan accordingly.

Emergencies we can understand, but we do  not appreciate when students tell us late in the week they are rostered to that they cannot fulfil their commitment. The earlier changes are made the easier they are to accommodate and ensure the roster is fair and equitable for all students and families.
