REBUILDING’

Welcome back to a new year everyone. My theme for 2022 is ‘Rebuilding’. After a topsy-turvy 2 years, we are all looking forward to a less disjointed, more consistent year. I will be using my resources to help students rebuild their dreams, and help rebuild lives that are struggling with the uncertainty that the pandemic has brought to us all. Here is a picture of a Jenga tower built last year by a Grade 6 student. “Jenga’ is a Swahili word build meaning ‘to build’.

Please feel free to contact me via Compass, or at school on Mondays, Tuesdays or Fridays, if there is anything you would like to discuss. I am here to support our school community with whatever is challenging us.

I have finally been able to publish my memoirs. One of our teachers has already purchased one. If you are interested in buying a copy, please contact me through Compass or at school. It has 400 pages, in A4 size, with lots of pictures and grids, including my 50+ pairs of fun socks that I wear to school. You can read about my ancestors in Yorkshire, our trek in the Himalayas and the avalanche, even my school photos and reports!

Quote for the week: “A friend accepts you just as you are”.
