Principal Message

Our blessings go out to our families who are affected by the floods at this time. It is extraordinary circumstances and we pray that you are safe during these challenging times.

Our blessings go out to our Year 12 students who completed their classes this week. It was unfortunate that we had to postpone their Mass and Presentation; however, our seniors were blessed to celebrate the Eucharist with the Sisters of Mercy and their associates. Their legacy of Living Well Learning Well could be heard as they passed through the guard of honour. Their peers celebrated their milestone and the array of emotions they felt as they exited were a tribute to the relationships built with teachers and students alike. We wish them all the best for their HSC preparations and exams.

Our blessings go out to our Year 11 students who sat their final exams before entering their final year at school next term. Our thanks to those who travelled far to complete their exams, and our prayers go out to those who could not make it.

Our blessings go out to all of our staff who have worked tirelessly to support the great learning and teaching throughout the term. With their collaboration, cooperation and commitment our students continue to become lifelong learners.

Our blessings go out to all our students who have represented our community in their co-curricular activities. Their commitment and contribution to our community was and always is an honour to see.

May these holidays be restful and a time for recuperating. May we all return in Term 4 refreshed and ready to build our commitment to our faith community and our place of learning.

Saturday 24 September marks Mercy Day, commemorating the anniversary of the opening of the first “House of Mercy” in 1827 in Dublin, Ireland. Catherine McAuley, founder of the Sisters of Mercy, devoted her life to the poor, sick and uneducated, and today we continue her legacy of caring and compassion in the name of Mercy.
