News from the Chicken Coop

Thanks to the families who have taken such good care of our chickens so far this term and to all the families who have volunteered for the rest of the term. The roster is now full for weekend duties during Term 1. We will be asking for holiday volunteers in a couple of weeks.

Egg Lotto

The Environment Leaders from Year 6 have once again started running a fortnightly egg raffle. All the money we make is put back into the keeping of the chickens, buying food and other resources. The first Egg Lotto draw for the year will be next Monday 28 February at assembly. There will be several dozen eggs available to win so get your $1 raffle ticket soon. Students can buy tickets in the Passive Play area most mornings or ask someone in the Year 5/6 classrooms. The leaders will also be out in front of the school on Wednesday afternoons from 3:15-3:30pm to sell to parents.
