First Aid

Parents and Carers

We have many student’s onsite with allergies, food intolerances and anaphylaxis. The school encourages all students to be mindful of this and we encourage no sharing of food and to hand wash before and after eating. This is not only beneficial to students with food allergies but helps reduce the spread of gastro bugs.

The First Aid Department reminds parents and carers of their child with anaphylaxis to provide the school with a current auto – adrenaline injector, an ascia plan and any medication on the plan.

As we slowly move into the cooler months student’s diagnosed with asthma should have a current asthma plan available on Operoo. The asthma plans are required to be updated yearly with your treating doctor.

Students who can self-manage their asthma should carry their Ventolin with them on sports days or keep it in their school bag.

If your child has a specific medical condition requiring assistance outside of standard first aid treatment please ensure your treating health practitioner provides a medical action plan. This plan should be given to the First Aid Department Mentone or Reception Bentleigh East Campus

If you have any enquires please contact the First Aid Office Mentone Campus on 95825859.
