College Happenings

It has been an eventful and exciting beginning to Term 1 at the Bentleigh East campus. Our staff have always reinforced the motto of ‘Get Involved’ with all students, and this has certainly been actioned throughout our first six weeks of the 2022 school year. Large events such as the excitement and energy of the House Athletics Carnivals, through to the homeroom based social activities of the Year 7 Camps at Cypress Lodge, our young men have had a fantastic set of experiences outside of the classroom.

The remainder of the term is no different. The Year 9 @ BE program Apprentice class will operate their first student managed café in the coming weeks. We are all looking forward to their Mexican inspired menu. The City Project students have begun their detailed research of the City of Melbourne with trips to the Shine of Remembrance and the M.C.G. in place. Bentleigh East campus House Swimming sports at GESAC will be another opportunity to showcase student sporting talent. The Chess Club will soon begin honing their skills in our library with expert coaching. Our Year 10 Outdoor Education students have already swum with seals and dolphins and are soon undertaking a sailing lesson. The campus choir have been busily practising for upcoming gatherings, while our budding actors and musicians are busily preparing for auditions for the Wizard of OZ College production.

After an interrupted past two years, it is pleasing to see our young men take these opportunities to enhance their learning and experiences at the Bentleigh East campus.
