Prep Transition 2017

It’s that time of year again- our new prep children for 2017 make their first big step into school this Friday.  They will have the opportunity to visit all four of the prep classrooms and participate in a wide range of activities.  This will be followed by a play in the sand pit and prep playground (weather permitting).

The Prep Transition program at Boronia Heights is based on a plan of slowly increasing the number of new people and experiences that the children are exposed to, while still having the support of their parents.  With each new experience the children find that there are many more interesting things to do than just play with mum or dad and thus develop their independence at their own rate.

We have many activities planned for these pre school children this year and their transition will continue into the beginning of Term 1 in 2017.  If you see a very small person in the school grounds on Friday (amongst the preparations for the school fete), greet them with a friendly Boronia Heights welcome!
