CELEBRATING OUR FAITH

NAIDOC Week 2019
This week, Holy Trinity classes will be incorporating activities which focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and people for NAIDOC Week 2019. The theme for NAIDOC Week is VOICE. TREATY. TRUTH. Let's work together for a shared future.
NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week officially begins on Sunday 7 July, also known as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sunday, to 14 July 2019.
Prayer for Reconciliation
God of all creation,
as we journey together in this
Great Southern Land, we pray for healing, forgiveness and unity, creating a path of good will,
with justice and compassion.
Jesus, through the power of your love,
you have given us the courage,
wisdom and strength to share
our gifts and talents in humility.
In peace and understanding
we reconcile with each other.
Creator Spirit,
we come together in prayer and
thanksgiving for the many blessings
we have received.
Allow your Spirit to wash over us and
give us strength to walk together as one.
Reconciliation Church prayer was written by a small group of Aboriginal Elder women and Reconciliation Church staff members in 2014.
Grandparent's Day
Grandparent's Day will be held in Week 1 of Term 3 on Friday 26 July 2019.
The day will begin at 10:30am with a prayer liturgy in the Infants Quad followed by our visitors spending time in their grandchildren's classroom. The secondary Food Tech class will be providing morning tea at 11:30am in the Library Quad.
All are welcome to attend the morning to thank and celebrate our Grandparents.
Please keep an eye out in your child's bag this week for an invitation!
