State Aerobics Competition

Our school aerobics team worked extremely hard to get their routine to a very high standard for the State Aerobics Competition in August. Ten Year 7 & 8 students spent many lunch times  and after school sessions working as a wonderfully supportive and committed team to learn and rehearse the 2.5 minute routine. Mrs Hawken with Assistant Team Manager, Charlotte Hylton, took the Aerobics Team to the State Netball and Hockey Centre for a fabulous afternoon of fitness. The team did an absolutely wonderful job on their timing, memory and smiles. They are to be congratulated on an outstanding effort!

Year 10 Dance Excursion to Chunky Move in Southbank

For PRSC’s Year 10 dance subject, Artistic Dance/Production, Miss Harvey and Mrs Hawken took the class on a day out to the city for a Funk workshop with Chunky Move. This young and vibrant contemporary dance company has established itself as one of the country’s most innovative, awarded and internationally recognised Performing Arts companies. We were extremely lucky to work with them, experiencing a wonderful class in their state of the art space, dancing some new grooves that pushed many students out of their comfort zone and into a whole new way of moving.
