TRAFFIC HAZARDS AFTER SCHOOL

Over the past week we have had visits from Shepparton Police and bylaws officers to monitor traffic flow and parking. Unfortunately a number of parents are committing infringements, which place student safety at risk. Parents are advised that these officers will continue to monitor the situation and fines will be imposed as necessary.

YEAR 7 BBQ

Thank you to the many families who attended the Year 7 BBQ on Monday evening. We were pleased to hear many positive stories relating to the beginning of the school year for our newest students, and we encourage you to continue to communicate with us to ensure the year ahead is a successful one.

INVESTITURE ASSEMBLY

On Monday 20th February, we held our Investiture Assembly which saw our college student leaders acknowledged in their roles and presented with their badges. Our guest speaker was the federal member for Murray, Damian Drum.

NEW MOBILE PHONE POLICY

The new mobile phone policy can be read in the School News section of this newsletter. After many disruptions last year to classes due to mobile phone use, staff came up with a new policy to address this issue. Simply put, all students place their mobile phones in a tub at the front of the classroom at the start of a lesson and collect them at the end. The policy has been very well received by students and staff alike and it seems to be working well.
