From our Assistant Principal

Whilst we know it hasn’t been a ‘normal’ term for our students, our teachers are constantly thinking of ways that they can engage them in different types of learning, put a smile on their faces and have the students connecting with one another.

Our Senior students have been invited to join a club with students from all the classes across the level. Running like electives. these opt-in Google Meets cover a range of topics including cooking, lego, origami, dancing and trivia.

Our Prep students have been learning all about Fairy Tales. During this unit of work students explore different settings and characters. They also learn about the structure of a story focusing on the beginning, middle and end. At the culmination of the unit the students have their own Fairy Tale Ball. We know the students are very excited to be able to celebrate the end of this unit, both remotely on Monday with a Fairy Tale themed breakfast with their teacher and classmates and in real life next term when they return to on-site learning.

Our Middle and Senior teams are busy planning activities that can be completed remotely around the theme of ‘Camp’, in preparation for next term. With our students unable to attend camps this year, we still want them to experience some of the fun and engaging activities that they get to do on camp in a normal year.
