Principal's News

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you everyone for a wonderful Term 3. You have all adjusted to the changes that have been made this term, and for that, I am very appreciative.

Students are engaged in their learning and teachers are seeing improvements in reading, writing, and maths skills. I would like to thank the staff for their dedication to all of our students and the times that they have gone above and beyond to support students and their families in our community.

Yesterday, Kindergarten and Stage 1 participated in their Multisport day. It was great to see the students enjoying themselves in a range of outdoor activities for the day. Please see the News and Notices page for further information and photos.

We have several things happening at school in the next week. Starting with this Saturday, our Year 3 students are participating in the Sacrament of First Holy Communion.

Next Thursday, is Primary Multisport Day where our Stage 2 and 3 classes will complete a morning rotation of different sports activities.

Next Term will start on Monday 12 October. There will be announcements over the holiday period regarding new COVID-19 regulations. These will be communicated as soon as they are available. Unfortunately, Term 4 will be different from previous years. However, as always, we will continue to concentrate on supporting our students' learning and growth.

School Photos will be held on Tuesday 3 November. Please ensure that your child is wearing their full summer uniform. Information regarding this will be sent out early next term.

As a school, with support from the Catholic Schools Office and Catholic Schools NSW, staff have been closely monitoring students' use of Chromebooks in regards to the recent postings of inappropriate and graphic videos on apps students would frequent outside of school. Discussions have been had in small groups and some classes without making the students inquisitive to go and search for these videos.

Also, just a final reminder that student supervision before school does not start until 8:30 am. Recently, we have been seeing an increase of students waiting at the gate before this time.

Have a great weekend.

Regards,

Alistair Stewart
