Webinar Recording - Managing your child’s anxiety

By Roland Lewis & Frank Catalano

Dear Families,

As advised previously, as we head further into Term Three and the Learning From Home program, we will continue to look for  different and innovative ways to support the wellbeing of the children, staff and families of the Glen Waverley Primary School community.  Our school’s partnership with Parenting Ideas avails our community free access to webinars and resources that we will share throughout the rest of this year.

This week’s recorded webinar, “Managing your child’s anxiety,” is presented by Michael Grose, one of Australia’s leading parenting educators.  His contribution to parenting and education saw him elevated to the PSA Speaker Hall of Fame in 2013. He is the past winner of the PSA Australian educator of the year award.

Webinar Recording: “Managing your child’s anxiety.”

Anxiety is one the biggest problems facing children and young people today, impacting on their learning, happiness and their wellbeing. Research shows that when anxiety goes unmanaged in childhood it will reoccur in adulthood. Fortunately, there’s a lot parents can do to assist kids when they become anxious.

Join Michael Grose in this webinar recording where he helps parents better understand the nature of anxiety, equips them to recognise it in children, and provides practical tools to help children and young people manage and minimise their anxious states.
