Library News

We are so excited in Library to be celebrating the first ever "'It's not Book Week' Book Week" next week. We know Book Week is postponed until October, but next week is the traditional Book Week, parade and CBCA Awards announcements, so we thought we would celebrate anyway. We have some wonderful guest authors who have recorded video messages just for Orchard Grove students!

Corinne Fenton (author of 'Queenie') and Judith Rossell (author of 'Withering-By-Sea') are Melbourne authors also in lockdown who both visited us in 2018 and 2019. Zanni Louise (author of one of our favourite stories, 'Errol' & 'Mum for Sale') sends a special message from NSW. Andrew Joyner, author and illustrator of 'The Pink Hat', is coming along to share some thoughts with our senior students about visual imagery.

Head over to the Specialist Learning Hub for Library and listen to their messages, stories and videos, and check out our fun activities for Book Week.

Have you got a book theme costume or favourite story? Share it on our Book Week Parade SlideShow!

Enjoy the first ever "'It's not Book Week' Book Week" celebration and keep reading!
