Resources for families

Kidsflix at Village Cinemas Southland

Kidsflix has begun again for 2021. After a complicated year in 2020 we have streamlined Kidsflix events so they are safe and secure for our Kidsflix children and families/Carers. We have been working closely with the cinemas to ensure all COVID regulations are upheld to the highest standards. We spread the audience over multiple cinemas and all entertainment is located at the front of the cinema so there is no person to person contact. This system worked really well last year, with great positive feedback from parents and carers.

Our first event is in Southland on March 13th at Village Cinemas Southland. We have changed the location due to too short time limits and lack of mobility parking around the cinema in Glen Waverly

Please pass this link on to your clients where they can register for the event. Please note this is a private event and invitations only go out to families who would benefit from an event that is free from judgement and special adapted to children with special needs.

Subsidised Uber Rides

Victorians with disability and accessibility needs now have more subsidised transport options, thanks to a partnership between Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria (CPVV) and rideshare service Uber. In an Australian first, members of the Multi Purpose Taxi Program (MPTP) can now use Uber to take subsidised trips.

The subsidy is half the total cost of the trip including tolls and charges. For example a trip costing $60 would be subsidised to $30.
