CELEBRATING OUR FAITH

1/2M Liturgy

This Friday, 28 August at 9:30am at SHC, 1/2M will celebrate the feast of St Augustine.

Saint Augustine, the son of St. Monica, was born in Africa and spent many years of his life living selfishly and in false beliefs. Through the prayers of his holy mother and the marvellous preaching of St. Ambrose, Augustine finally became convinced that Christianity was the one true religion. Saint Augustine was baptised, became a priest, a bishop, a famous Catholic writer, founder of religious priests, and one of the greatest saints that ever lived. He became very devout and charitable, too. We remember St Augustine's feast day on 28 August.

Reconciliation and

First Holy Communion

On Thursday 20 August, 32 students made their First Reconciliation in preparation for  receiving the Eucharist for the first time.

Congratulations to these students who received their First Holy Communion on Sunday afternoon.  Thank you to Fr James and Fr Sabu for co-celebrating the Mass, the students families and especially the Stage 2 teachers for instructing the children as they prepared for this sacrament.
