From the Head of Primary

Welcome! 

We have had such a lovely start to the year, and it is such a delight to see so many smiling faces. Welcome to our 19 new students, our new Prep students, our new Kinder students and our new staff. We are delighted that you are now at Calrossy. 

Over the next fortnight we will be looking at Kindness. The Bishop reminded us in the Leadership induction of the teachings from Proverbs 3 and how appropriate this is for our children. The verse this week comes from Proverbs 3:3 Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart. The questions we’re exploring over the next fortnight are, ‘What does kindness look like in others?’ and ‘How can I always have kindness and truth in me?’ Read Proverbs 3, it’s worth exploring! 

We look forward to a wonderful year ahead with the following staff guiding our students through their learning journey.

The whole Primary School will be using Seesaw as a tool for sharing learning. This will be gradually rolled out over the next week and explained in full at the Parent Information Night in Week 3. It is really important that you attend this evening. Even if you have been at the school for years and this is your third child, please come. This is an opportunity to connect with your child’s class teacher, meet other parents and build relationships amongst others at the school. You will hear from your child’s class teacher and between 6:30 and 7:45pm both nights, you will hear from me on a range of topics relevant to you and your child at Calrossy. 

I am really looking forward to seeing what lies ahead for us in the Primary School over the course of 2020. May you and your children be richly blessed as they embark on the next year in their learning journey.
