Would your child like to play cricket?
What a great way to enjoy some physical activity and socialise with friends. Term 4 school cricket competition starts Monday 22nd October. There are possibilities to enter a team in all year levels if we can get enough interested players.
The competitions are divided into the following grades:
Kanga (Year 2/3) – needs a minimum of 6 players
C Grade (Year 4/5) – needs a minimum of 5 players
B Grade (Year 5/6) – needs a minimum of 5 players
A Grade (Year 6/7) – needs a minimum of 6 players.
Each team will rely on parent volunteers to coach and manage their players (this is as easy as setting up a player rotation on the day and being responsible for our equipment after the match). Please complete this short Google Form to register your child's interest: - https://goo.gl/forms/3ipkAw0yxIRp6bnh2
Mrs. Jones is looking forward to entering a team.
Coles Sports Vouchers
Thank you to all the families who collected Sports Vouchers from Coles earlier this year. Your contribution has enabled us to provide sports packs in each building for students to use at recess and lunch as well as some extra equipment that will be used for topic specific PE lessons. This would not have been possible without your support.
Auskick
Well done to all the children who are participating in Auskick. Jazz is our coach, he is a volunteer from university and plans the structured physical activities. He is giving glowing reports on the effort and engagement being shown by our 35 Auskick students and the help from families each Wednesday on the oval. A big thank you for your support to all the parents who help the sessions run. We have been lucky with the weather for most of the sessions so far. If a session is ever cancelled due to weather, Jazz will notify all registered families with a text message.
Also - please don't forget to check your email as we have had Auskick families win tickets to the Crows game and not claim their prize.
Premier's Be Active Challenge
Well done to all students who have already returned their completed Premier's Be Active form to their class teacher. Successful participants will receive an award during Term 4. If you have recorded your child's physical activity and not returned the form, could you please do this as soon as possible. If they are not back by the end of Week 9, Mrs. Jones will not be able to enter them. Stay healthy and keep active.
Regards,
Courtney Jones
