Fisher Camp 2018
Term 3, Week 10
Our Year 5, 6 and 7 campers head off to Hindmarsh Island during the last week of this term for a variety of experiences relating to aquatics, team building and the local environment. They will interact with and learn about our ocean and waterways (The Coorong, River Murray, Great Southern Ocean), human intervention and impacts (barrage, bridge, fishing) and local indigenous cultures.
If your child is attending camp, please ensure the balance of $260 is paid by the end of this week. Registrations are to be finalised online via this link. Your child can also access the link via Fisher Classroom. If you are unable to complete the registration at home, your child can provide you access to a device before or after school in Fisher. Please ensure your child is registered by this Friday, the 14th September.
All information regarding what to pack is also available at that link. You can ask your child to print it off at school if you would prefer a paper copy. If you have any queries, please contact your child’s class teacher.
Community Donations
Torrens Student Initiatives
BLUE BINS have arrived!!!
Taking donations of blankets and clothes until end of Term 3!
In Torrens, the Year 3 students have been learning about what makes a community, and how we can be a part of, and give back to our local community. Three students have decided to organise donations for Vinnies, to help people in need.
Declan, Mitchell and Harvi from Torrens will be collecting donations of blankets and clothes to donate to Vinnies. Each school building has a blue bin, including the office, where students and families can donate blankets and clothing. We ask families to only donate clothing that it is not stained and in a wearable condition.
We thank our community in advance!
