Opera Queensland Workshops
As part of our professional partnership with Opera Queensland, we have welcomed vocal coaches on our campus all week who have worked closely with our students. On Monday, our Year 9 music students and Music extension students worked with specialists on their performance assessment repertoire, and Opera Queensland representatives presented workshops for our Primary and Secondary choirs.
Buddy Breakfast
Our Primary String ensembles have enjoyed buddy breakfasts this week with the Secondary girls from Viotti strings. It is always great to see the interaction between Secondary and Primary students, and it is so beneficial for the younger girls to have a buddy playing alongside them. The breakfast is always a hit too!
Jazz on the Green
Thank you to all the parents and volunteers who assisted with our Jazz on the Green event. It was a fabulous day and we have had such lovely feedback from audience members. We were so proud to hear our girls perform so well, both in the Big Band and in the Katie Noonan String backing. Katie was so kind and friendly with the girls both on stage and during our rehearsal earlier in the day. What a wonderful experience for all the girls.
Opus 3
Our Opus 3 concert, scheduled at 7:00 pm on Saturday 20 August at BBC is fast approaching!
