Werribee Zoo Excursion

Two excursions to the zoo were conducted on Friday 12th August and Monday 15th August, 2022. Overall, one hundred and forty students observed animals in conditions similar to their natural habitats. The joint Science and Humanities event allowed students to learn about endangered species such as the American Bison and the Orange-bellied Parrot. While the Humanities subject allowed students to explore the food chain, sources of food from grasslands and other issues regarding food security. It has been said that it takes ‘A village to raise a child,’ and the organizers offer a sincere ‘thanks’ to all the supervising adults who accompanied the excursions.
