VCAL Year 12 Day Out

August 1st was our VCAL Year 12 Day Out. This day was all about considering future career options and being open to new ideas and perspectives. 

We began our day visiting Charles Torrens University. The university offers courses with various prerequisites. Most courses only require a Year 12 completion. 

The students heard about the diverse study options available there including Business, Nursing, Myotherapy, Beauty and Aesthetics, Creative Design and Hospitality. 

The Charles Torrens University ethos is ‘Love What You Do.’ Students were encouraged to think about what they would love doing and to adopt a mindset geared towards achieving a career in what they would love to do.

The group then moved on to lunch and a bit of city exploring before returning to Epping.

The students who attended were well behaved, interested and fantastic ambassadors for Epping Secondary College.
