SWPBS

SWPBS @ Epping Secondary College

On Friday, August 5th, our teaching staff undertook a professional learning day with an emphasis on the continuation of building positive student-family-school relationships and delving into the many avenues we offer in supporting our students.

The day’s focus was on what is called SWPBS – School Wide Positive Behaviour Support. Essentially, SWPBS is about:

  • Positive reinforcement of expected behaviours, in combination with expectations, boundaries and consequences and
  • Building positive relationships.

As a parent or guardian it’s important to make contact for support, or clarification, in working with the school to ensure the best for your child. Please, always reach out to any of the following staff, dependant on circumstances:

  • Home Group Teachers;
  • Classroom Teachers – specific to a subject;
  • Year Level Coordinators;
  • A member of the school’s Wellbeing, Welfare or Careers Team;
  • Year Level Leading Teachers;
  • Assistant Principals;
  • College Principal.

Parents, guardians, teachers and all school staff want the best for each student. In working together, we ensure the best opportunities for success.
