Big Write 

Stage 1 has been working hard learning all about narratives.  We have learnt that narratives are fictional stories, with an orientation, complication and resolution.  

We have been working hard to write narratives in our Big Write time.  Mrs Meade told us that in our narrative, we would travel through a magical door.  See below for some wonderful examples of where our doors take us! 

During our study of narratives, we have been focusing on characterisation and setting description.  During the last week, in class time, we have been creating an evil character, and a good character.  We have learnt lots of new vocabulary to describe personalities too! Maths - Multiplication

In our Maths lessons we have been learning about multiplication, and how to skip count or make equal groups.  We have been particularly focusing on counting by 2, 5 and 10.  We have completed lots of different activities.  Parents can practise this counting at home too!
