Anatomy of a Rat

The Unit 1 and 2 VCE Biology class gained a hands-on look at the systems within a living organism, after they undertook a rat dissection. This included a key focus on the digestive, urinary and endocrine system.

Students closely followed a strict procedure to carefully dissect the specimens. They were able to clearly observe the interconnectedness of many of the body's systems and draw comparisons to the human body. Star student, Mischa Burge, said, "It was very interesting to see the organs and internal structures of the rat."
