Cubby Building With The HoL Crew

In the first week of Term Three, our Hands On Learning (HoL) Team, was tasked with constructing a cubbyhouse from scratch. The project, an initiative of Highlands LLEN and funded by the State Government, was coordinated by Polly Brittan, and emphasised the need to promote females working in trades, as well as exposing our HoL students to different trades careers.

Working alongside a variety of tradespeople who assisted in upskilling the students, the HoL team had the cubby constructed within a day. The only task still to complete, the painting of the cubby, will take place later this term. The paint will be supplied courtesy of Dulux and once complete, the HoL crew will decide what is to happen with their masterpiece.

Thank you to the Highlands LLEN group for inviting us to participate in the initiative and for their assistance with the project. Congratulations to all students involved; what a fantastic achievement!
